Emissions accounts shall include data on residual emissions of gaseous and particulate matter by resident units as defined in the European System of National and Regional Accounts (ESS). “Air emissions” means the physical flow of gaseous or particulate matter into the atmosphere (which is part of the environment) from the national economy (production or consumption processes).
