NACE 2.1

The Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (NACE Revision 2.1) is a classification of economic activities applied in the European Union, designed to systematically classify the activities carried out by economic entities. The NACE Revision 2.1 is used in official statistics for collecting, processing, and publishing data according to economic activity, and it also ensures the comparability of statistical data between the EU member states. This version of the classification is effective from 2025 and has been updated to better reflect the structure of the modern economy and new activity sectors.

NACE 2.1 is related to the United Nations International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC Revision 5). The NACE Revision 2.1 version was established on October 10, 2022, by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/137 and is applied in European statistics from 2025.
