Inflation provisional estimate calculated based on the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) January 2026

Starting with the publication of the January 2026 inflation provisional estimate calculated based on the HICP, the following methodological changes in the compilation of the HICP have been applied: the integration of scanner data, optimization of territorial units for price observation, implementation of the new European Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose rev. 2 (ECOICOP rev. 2), as well as the change of the price index base period (2025–100).
