The organization, within its competence, performs functions in the areas of monitoring the health status of the population of the Republic of Lithuania and the operation of health care institutions, assessing health inequalities and health care technologies, research on the impact of the work environment on health, strengthening mental health, health education and disease prevention, developing the competencies of health care and pharmacy specialists, and complementary and alternative health care.
