The organization is an autonomous state institution that regulates electronic communications, postal service provision activities and the railway transport market, and performs the functions of a supervisory authority for providers of trust services. The organization is the national regulatory authority of the Republic of Lithuania pursuant to the provisions of European Union legal acts governing public relations related to the regulatory scope of the Law on Electronic Communications, the Law on Postal Services and the Railway Transport Code of the Republic of Lithuania.
