The children's rehabilitation sanatorium was established in 1990. The institution provides Level II medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment services for children from 1 to 18 years of age. The sanatorium has well-developed treatment facilities, accommodation and educational infrastructure, and employs about 250 specialists. It is the largest children's sanatorium in the Baltic states, treating about 4,000 young patients annually.
