The company is a joint enterprise of seven municipalities of Klaipėda County, established in 2003, whose main task is to create a new waste management system in the Klaipėda region that complies with European Union environmental standards. The company's principal shareholders are the municipalities of the cities of Klaipėda, Palanga and Neringa and the district municipalities of Klaipėda, Kretinga, Šilutė and Skuodas. The company's mission is to provide waste management solutions that create the greatest environmental value and meet the needs of society and the expectations of its founders. The company's main project has been carried out since 2002, and the most important facility of the new municipal waste management system is an environmentally non-polluting regional landfill constructed in 2008 in Dumpiai, on the territory of Klaipėda District Municipality.
