The public institution provides health care services not only to residents of Ukmergė District but also to those of the neighboring Širvintos, Molėtai, Anykščiai and Jonava districts. The institution provides secondary-level inpatient care, which comprises comprehensive measures selected by the physician for the individual patient, taking into account the clinical situation. Laboratory and radiological tests and electrocardiography are available 24 hours a day; from 7:00 to 18:00 ultrasound and endoscopic examinations, computed tomography and mammographic examinations are performed. If necessary, the institution provides tertiary-level specialist consultations or arranges the safe transfer of the patient to a higher-level or specialized health care institution.
