The organization's activities are based on ensuring visas, immigration, asylum, return and the relocation of persons to the Republic of Lithuania; carrying out the Republic of Lithuania's citizenship procedures; issuing identity and citizenship-confirming documents to citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, travel documents, residence permits in the Republic of Lithuania and other documents; and implementing the principle of free movement of persons in the European Union.
