The organization plans and coordinates standardization work across all fields of activity, provides methodological guidance to its technical committees and temporary working groups, improves and develops standardization in the Republic of Lithuania, organizes the drafting of legislation in this field, participates in the activities of international and European standardization organizations, prepares, adopts and disseminates Lithuanian standards and other publications intended for the public, and maintains a public repository of standards, their collections, catalogs and other publications.
