The organization is a municipal budgetary institution composed of structural units, positions not included in the structural units, and administration branches — seniūnijos (municipality’s structural territorial units). The organization carries out the tasks formulated and decisions adopted by the municipality’s political body — the municipal council — and implements the development and public administration programs for the municipality’s territory that it has prepared.
