The organization develops and deploys secure information and communication technologies (hereinafter – ICT) to ensure public security and public administration, consistently initiates and implements projects related to ICT development and security, cooperates with the competent institutions of the European Union and Member States as well as with international agencies, and continuously participates in international events in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity. The organization ensures the development, maintenance, expansion, technological interoperability and security of state and departmental registers and information systems that are managed and administered by the ministry, the organization and other bodies within the ministry’s regulatory scope and that operate on the basis of information technology and telecommunications infrastructure. A consolidated information resource infrastructure creates the preconditions to coordinate the use of information resources required for the functions of internal affairs institutions and to ensure their integrity, efficiency of use and security.
