Organization – a state institution that carries out state environmental monitoring, collects, analyzes and provides reliable information on the state of the environment, climate change, flows of chemical substances, and pollution prevention measures, implements environmental regulation of economic activities and the policy for management of chemical substances and preparations and for the protection and management of water bodies. It also contributes to environmental legal regulation, public information and education, conducts effective supervision of laboratory activities (performance of environmental tests and/or measurements, sampling), and carries out legislative impact assessment.
