The organization under the Ministry of Health performs the licensing of natural and legal persons for personal and public health care activities, the accreditation of legal entities for personal health care activities, the execution of management functions for medical device conformity assessment in accordance with EU directives, the assessment of health care technologies related to medical devices, the use and management of high-cost medical devices in the country, the execution of patient rights oversight functions, and the execution of health care service quality supervision functions.
