The organization performs the functions of client for the construction of border control points and areas intended for vehicles waiting to cross the state border, property management and maintenance, and the organization of access to border control points, and also implements measures of the border control points development strategy. The organization has established an information system for queue management of vehicles waiting to cross the State Border of the Republic of Lithuania, which allows advance reservation of the desired border crossing time at a selected point.
