The organization implements state policy in the management of natural resources (forests, national plant genetic resources), guided by the European Union's multi-objective (multifunctional) forestry policy principles and by the opportunities to use genetic resources and the principles of fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from their use as established in EU legal acts.
